Rafael Nadal to take Month off after 2012 Australian Open due to Shoulder Injury
For several weeks of late WTA superstar the supremely talented Spanish tennis player Rafa aka Rafael Nadel has not been on the top of his game on the tennis courts in the end of season competitions. But now Rafa has gone public that he has a long standing recurring shoulder injury that can only be treated and cured by resting from playing one grueling tournament after another. So Rafael Nadal is going to play in the 2012 Australian Open then he is going to take many weeks off to ensure that his shoulder recovers so he can compete in the other grand slams of 2012 – Roland Garros 2012 French Open – Wimbledon 2012 Wimbledon and Flushing Meadows 2012 US Open.
Rafa has had a spate of injuries down the years, maybe due to the all out way he plays tennis, but Rafa is as ‘Tough as old Boots ‘ so we are sure to see Rafael Nadal winning many more grand slams in the coming years.
To Rafael Nadal ‘Happy New Year’ and may you have a speedy 100 percent recovery to the shoulder and we look to see you back in some warm up tournaments before Roland Garros 2012.
