There's this show I've been watching - it's called Rockstar:Supernova (http://rockstar.msn.com/) - it's sort of like American Idol - only much much better because these people actually have talent and do Rock pretty much exclusively. The contestants on this show are trying to win the part of Lead Singer for the Tommy Lee band called Supernova. A number of contestants, IMHO, are way too good for the band Supernova, but Hell - - the show is giving them a lot of exposure and that's always a good thing, right?

There's this one chick named Storm Large (her real name) and she has her own band back home called Storm and the Balls (http://www.stormlarge.com/).

And I have to say she's kinda trippy and... hot... in a punk girl kind of way. You should see here on the show - - she's pretty damn cool.

She describes herself as: Storm, cancer, double jointed, likes long walks on the beach and porn. Kinda big for a girl, very sweet but volatile. Never touch her unless you know her very well - she took down two frat boys, a CPA and a caterer when one of them put his finger on her back to read her tattoo. It took a few whacks with a golf club and whole can of bear mace to finally break it up.

How do fans love Storm? Let them count both the ways and the lanky inches, for there are many, many, many of them. But the rocker's impressive height is certainly not the only stand-out quality that makes Storm Large so exceptionally memorable. Even if she wasn't six feet tall, you'd still feel like a midget standing next to her--so enormous is her talent.

very cool show....
I've been watching it for Patrice Pike (local Austinite). Have watched her perform several times with her band, sister seven, and think she is very talented as well.

...don't think she'll win the big prize but hey, you have to go with the hometown reps... :)

well - - it was a double elimination last night and Jill and Josh were sent packing.

Storm did Queen's "We Are The Champions" and she did an awesome job. She will definitely be there towards the end.

I still say she is to good for Supernova and she has a "Storm and the Balls" CD being released sometime this fall - I heard a song from the cd called "Unladylike" and thought it was very good.
