But it seems to me that most of those spaces just go empty 90% of the time - - and when I do see people (with the parking permit thingy hanging from their rear view mirror) they just get out of the car and walk as normally as anyone else.
That shit erks the living hell out of me.....

I normally only park in a handycap zone when my dog is in my car with me! Handy cap parking is usually shaded and it would just be unfair to my dog to be left in the sun!!!! He sort of is a handycap but then again - he is the best anti theft system ever - Half labrador and half rhodesian ridgeback, weighs about 60 pounds - nice and lean and fucking fast!!!!!!! mean ass bite and temper on him though!

I have found that people get "handicapped" permits, because "granny" needs a walker, and then park in the spaces even when granny isn't along!
I don't park in the spaces, and I think the abuse is so rampant that the whole idea is now ludicrous.
It's a shame because there are people who really need these spaces.

I would never take the space from a handicapped person, i would only park there if there is an abundance of space in the handicapped zone!

I only park in a HC zone if I'm dropping movies off or something that doesn't take more than a second and I leave the car running
