After a long and somewhat over long wait 4G Network is at last going to go live in UK – United Kingdom in October 2012. The first service vendor will be the super combo ‘Everything Everywhere’ the giant operator created by the merger of Orange and T-Mobile in 2010.
But the question remains to be seen how good the data transmission speed will hold up as in the US the 4G network has been subjected to a spate of data speed issues. In GB – Great Britain the service provider ‘Everything Everywhere’ will be targeting to deliver downloads at about 10 times the speed of current 3G networks. But will they be able to maintain the high speeds as millions sign on for the new 4G network.
In the years ahead the data transmission speeds will reach a lightning fast downloads to 300 megabits per second, which is three times faster than any service available in the UK today.
4G Network Great Britain Tech Data
• LTE - Short for Long Term Evolution, which will offer downloads at about 10 times the speed of current 3G networks
• The speeds will drop off as 4G networks become commercially available
• O2 - Vodafone and Three are not expected to offer the service until 2013
• 80 - 4G networks are up and running around the world making GB very late in entering the 4G market
• By 2015 almost the entire population of UK should be able to access the new 4G networks
• Zippy app downloads
• Super smooth gaming online
4G will eventually connect with the following Mobile Devices
• Apple
• Samsung
• HTC
• Nokia
Before ordering the ‘Everything Everywhere’ 4G service make sure your mobile device connects…
It will very interesting to see how many millions will have subscribed to 4G network by the end of 2012

London has some the finest architecture in the world intermingled among a plethora of famous landmarks. Hence it came as no surprise when rich Qataris decided to build ‘The Shard’ in the now oh so trendy area of Southwark in this fabulous capital city.
‘The Shard’ is now officially open and it immediately rests the mantle as what will be the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of high rise super towers in London Town for decades to come.
‘The Shard’ Showcased
• 72 occupiable floors.
• Offices.
• Hotel with more than 200 rooms and suites.
• Exclusive apartments.
• Three floors of restaurants.
• Viewing gallery.
• Highest Building in Europe.
• Ranked 59th in the list of the world’s tallest buildings.
• Architect Renzo Piano.
• Construction began in 2003.
• Cost to build more than 450 million UK Pounds.
• Services contractor Arup
• Main Contractor Mace
• The public viewing gallery will be located on the 72nd floor, at a height of 245 metres – 804 ft, and is expected to draw over two million visitors a year once it opens in February 2013.
• At present all office space is unlet but when fully occupied the complex is estimated to have a net worth of 2.5 billion UK Pounds.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes to let all the office and retail outlets given that the United Kingdom is still mired in deep recession plus supporting a UK banking sector that is corrupt – dysfunctional and grossly incompetent.
Impressive what will come next in London to compete with The Shard aka Shard London Bridge aka The Shard of Glass.
